[Limited Edition Cassette Release] Inter-galactic Sonar Communication Probe Vol. 1

In 2022, as the world slowed under lockdown, an ambient label quietly began to take shape in Auroville, an international township in South India. Nādāsana was founded by Japanese artist Jyoti Naoki Eri (aka Atomic Phantom).
Its debut release was a conceptual compilation album inspired by NASA’s Golden Record. The year is 2102. Ambient music, loaded aboard an intergalactic sonic exploration satellite, leaves Earth’s atmosphere and ventures into the unknown. Against the backdrop of this imagined story, artists from around the world contributed their sounds to the project.
The lineup features Double Cushion (UK), the ambient alias of Matt Black, one of the founders of Ninja Tune and a member of Coldcut. Joining him from Europe are the magicians of modular synthesis: IDRA (Italy), Mikkel Rev (Norway), Per Barfot (Sweden), and Petit Oiseau (UK). The compilation also features Florigenix (Australia), Hakimonu (Israel), and Yidam and Psychopanda from India.
Now, the album arrives as a limited-edition cassette release through Life Riddim Outertainment, a Nagano-based creative platform that offers a lifestyle shaped by its longstanding contribution to snowboard culture. Reimagined as a continuous 60-minute mix, the cassette becomes a soundtrack for an inner intergalactic voyage—conceived and cultivated in India.
